I have for sale a very rare collectible television memorabilia pendant that belonged to my husband's grandmother "Alice Weston"who was a very popular talk show host in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The show was "Luncheon At The Ones" in the late 50's and early 60's. In the early 30's after graduating from the University Of Michigan, she wrote a food column for the "Detroit Free Press" In 1948 She hosted one of the first cooking shows in Cleveland, Ohio where she became an Icon in Cleveland, Lorain area. She was the Program manager for WUAB channel 23 and so on....
While at station WIIC she had many accomplishments, in 1964 she was award the MC Call's "Golden Mic Award" for she program she did on woman alcoholics. During that time also, she gave Israeli Prime Minister David Be-Gurion. This was given to her by the television crew who grew to love her. It is 14 kt. Gold, uniquely shaped like a television, has 2 sapphires, 2 Rubies, 3/4" tall, a little over half of an inch long and 2/3" wide. It is engraved on the back, from the crew. A Jeweler appraised it between $1,500.00 -$1,700.00 and 7.7 penny weight and it has a lot of historical value. This is a beautiful piece of jewelry for memorabilia collection or to be worn as a pendant.
